Climb Kinabalu
5th – 11th of August 2017.
Best moment of the entire climb was near the summit before the sunrise. The air was absolutely still with the occasional chirp or rustle caused by lizards or squirrels. As it was above the cloud layer, the moon was clearly visible, and so were the stars. It makes you contemplate how small your existence is compared to the universe.
I’d definitely return, fitter and with a permit to fly within the zone this time. There were many scenic points all along the path.
